February’s Most Played PC Games list looked pretty similar to January’s but with one big addition: Blizzard’s MOBA contender Heroes of the Storm!
Highlights
League of Legends retained its death grip on the top spot with a February share time nearly 3X that of World of Warcraft.
While the top five has been consistent for the past two months, there was a slight difference in February as Smite was ousted by Diablo III. Diablo climbed two spots, knocking the mythological-based MOBA to sixth place.
Battlefield 4 was also a gainer in February as it rose four spots, likely due to anticipation of Battlefield Hardline.
Hearthstone wasn’t as lucky as it lost three places, landing in ninth place. However, it was Dragon Age: Inquisition that tumbled down the most, with ten places lost.
Final Fantasy XIV and Guild Wars 2 both moved up two ranks. With the help of a free login weekend at the end of the month, Final Fantasy nearly cracked the top ten.
Joining the top 20 for the first but probably far-from-last time: Heroes of the Storm. Though still in closed beta, HotS received a patch update, event experience boosts, and new in-game skins and items in February.
The last gainer in February was Warframe, which rose three places.
Note: The Share number by each game represents that title’s gameplay time as a percentage of the total time spent on all the PC games played by Raptr members, and is useful for comparing the relative amount of play time between particular games.
